What is Inventor?
Inventor is a computer program that allows you to design and create 3-d objects with ease (and some frustration). inventor lets you design a 2-d object you then extrude that object to make it 3-d and then you can take away parts of that 3-d object or you can add parts to that 3-d object, once you have created the object you want you can take it further and change its appearance color. then if you want you can put a whole bunch of "parts" together to create an animation or you can turn it into a drawing that you can print out with all the dimensions. inventor is used to create things for 3-d printers or any other 3-d object creating machine.

What did I learn from this intro to inventor/3-d printing?
Something i learned from this introduction is that the innovation center's 3-d printers have to be printed from a different program other than inventor and it is called MAKER BOT. another thing i learned is how to use a 3-d printer, i have never actually used a 3-d printer before so it was a cool experience learning something so high tech and to think about how far technology has come since even when i was born.
